Is that a replica mount or the real fish? It is one impressive mount for sure. Would you mind giving a ballpark figure for a mount like that?

Why didn't you do a reproduction? The memory is the same and you preserve the resource. Just take plenty of closeup photos from every angle and measurements before releasing it.

C.p.r. Catch photo release please. Nice fish though, but it would of looked better if it was a reproduction.

How would it have looked better? It might have made some of you feel better but Im OK with it being a skin mount. Why do you feel the need to bust my balls about getting a fish mounted? I never understand people who want to impose their personal beleifs and convictions on someone else.Cant you just be happy that someone had a great time in the outdoors and had a memory that will last a life-time mounted.Truth of the matter is, some people think they are the elite by the decisions they make.I would never try to lessen someones happiness when it was within their personal rights.Im ok with the whole idea of throwing fish back if Im not going to eat them or stopping at the limit but sometimes political correctness infringes on others convictions and its just wrong.Lighten up guys with trying the guilt trip..doesnt work with me.Sorry to offend some of you but those comments from a few were not needed.

Nobody judged you or said anything derogatory towards you, they simply expressed their opinions, so there is no reason to get defensive. Nobody here has an elitist attitude. Any guilt trip you have is simply self imposed.

You are entitled to do what you want within the laws. Many of us here practice CPR and are entitled to promote that activity for what we think will help preserve the resource for others in the future, including you.

I personally was just wondering why someone makes one decision over the other.

Thanks for visiting the forum. Glad to have you and you are welcome to continue to be part of this community.
