Hello all,
I am organizing a River Cleanup on March 21st. We are going to work on the area from Brunners Island down to the Codorus Creek.
Any help is greatly appreciated. We will need as many bodies as we can get. The more people we get the larger area we can handle.
Depending on the water level, we can can hit the Islands as well as the main bank.
Please let me know if you can make it.
If you have any questions, you can call me at home (717)266-0858
Thanks in advance

Hey guys, lets get out and help Dave on this great river project! What do you say!?
Some spring cleaning didn't hurt anyone and the wildlife will love you for it!

Will Do Metal.
I will be taking a recon trip with the riverkeeper before hand so we'll talk about some of the details. I've never organized one of these before so, I'm sure he has some tips.
SPREAD THE WORD!!!!

Had my hand/wrist surgery yesterday. Wasn't feeling well upon arrival at the surgical center... anxiety most likely. This pain has been with me for a long time.
The anesthesiologist gave me some very good medicine to calm me and also three injections for an arm nerve block that lasted for thirteen hours... great stuff!
The surgery lasted a hour and a half and I was in recovery for another hour and a half. The down time was much needed since I failed to sleep most the night before.
I had carpal tunnel done on my right hand. Then the surgeon turned my hand over and went to work on my arthritis. He used an arthroscope first to examine the damage. He shaved down excessive bone that was growing b/w the carpal bones. This occurs when the cartilage deteriorates.
He then went to work on my wrist. The MRI didn't show much, but when he went in, he was surprised. It was a lot worse then he had expected. The slang word he used was 'crab meat.' That is stringy looking and inflamed. He considered fusion of the wrist but wanted to wait to see if his work helps and "buys me time."
So now I have a huge bandage with a plastic support on the inside of my arm running up to my palm. In two weeks, I'll have the wraps and stitches removed. Then they'll put a fiberglass streamlined cast on to immobilize my wrist for a few weeks. Afterward, OT will begin. I'm not for how long.
Despite all this, Dave, I'm still hoping to have myself there to help. I'll let you know closer to the date.
