As we prepare to put 2008 to rest I just want to take a quick moment to thank all who supported me through the year. My goal for the year was to build 24 rods or two per month. I smashed that. In doing so there are now CPR Custom Rods in the states of Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Illinois, South Carolina, Florida, Oregon, and even one way up in Northern Ontario. I’m still humbled every time I package a rod for shipment to think that someone actually wants something I create.
Thanks to everyone who purchased a rod I was able to completely cover the costs of three rods donated to benefit worthy causes. I already have committed to two donations for 2009 and as long as I can cover the costs will offer more.
I was recently transferred into a different job classification at my “bill paying” job which is going to significantly change my work schedule. I don’t plan on this effecting my rod production however, and look forward to making my new goals set for 2009.
I thank all of you who purchased a custom rod (or rods) from me and I offer even more thanks to those who provided a good word for me to others.
Happy New Year and God Bless.
and on a side note, I'm anxious for this forum to upgrade and be built into what it has the potential to be. There's a great group here.

Congratulations to you Matt. Sounds like things are working out pretty well for you. Your work speaks for itself. The 2 I have are used far more than my "store bought" St. Croix's. The ability of those rods to pick up even the softest bite is just unbelievable. Good luck on your future endeavors. And a very Happy New Year to you and your family. Hopefully your new work position will allow you to get out on the water more. _________________ Daryl |

Sounds like a very successful year there, mattd.
I hope your new work hours are better for recreational fishing (?). It's been awhile since we hit the river at New Cumberland and the surrounding area.
Oh, by the way, as of last season, boaters/anglers at the Dock Street Dam are still easy hits for any WCO who wants it. I haven't seen too many want it, though. LOL!
Later,
